With the kind permission of Bob from the Discover coach owners association I would like to point readers to the best collection of files for Streets and Trips that I've seen to date. 

What are they? 
Zip files for you to download to your hard drive (right-click the links below and 'save target as...'). 

Extract/expand the zip file to get to the small text file inside.   The text file contains lat, long and other information that can be imported in S&T. 

How do I use them?
Launch S&T (not version specific) and click on the "Import data wizard" button on the toolbar (or Ctrl+I).
Browse to the text file you have just expanded and follow the steps in the Wizard to import these values into the map.

If you are driving a big rig and traveling through these United States, you often need to know the location of a truck stop or know the Truck Stop Locations and Travel Plazas locations in the area, with fuel and services available to you. AITA provides a listing of truck stops locations, diesel fuel outlets and travel plazas locations at www.AITAonline.com/TS/Locations.html

Thanks to the work of the Truckers at  America's Independant Trucker's Association, Inc. you can load up your Streets and Trips map with over 5000 US truck stops.  When I tried it there were a small percentage of the records that didn't match but even so this is a huge collection.  [Update: here is the direct link to the .est file]

Wow!  What a great week at CES!  4 full days of showing off S&T to new people and connecting with many big fans of our product.   

It was very encouraging to heard over and over again from our users how much they loved using our product and found it very encouraging.

I also collected feedback from others on what they'd like to see in future releases.

Sorry for the lack of posts over the last week or so.  I had the impression like I was going to have time to post while in Vegas.  Ha!  Not a chance.

This is a tempting project.  Not sure if my wife would go for the PVC pipe look but it sure would be functional for running Streets & Trips on the laptop.  If I had a dollar for everytime my laptop has slide off the passenger seat while braking I could retire early. [via Make]
