What's the difference between the Trail, Standard and Trial DVDs

Quick post just to clear up some questions I've received lately....

Q: What is the difference between the trial software, the DVD that comes with the Standard (no GPS) version and the DVD that comes with the GPS version?
    A: Nothing.  Open-mouthed

The Standard and GPS versions come with a Product key in the box to take it out of "trial mode" but other than that they are the same.

This means if you download the free 60-day trail edition of S&T 2009 and you want to activate it you just need to enter the product key - no need to uninstall the trail version and re-install the DVD from the boxed product.

Turn your RV into a mobile "hot spot" with WiFi in Motion

Shout outs to Rob Taylo the CEO of Wifi In Motion!

I met these guys here at the Pomona RV Show and they helped me get WiFi access at the Streets & Trips booth when the 'official' network went down.   Thanks again!

    What is WiFi In Motion?

WiFi In Motion is a packaged wireless Internet access solution that includes a high-gain antenna, a 3-watt amplifier, a 3G mobile router, and all the accessories you need to create your own hot spot.

In the past, RVers wanted internet access on the road often had to go with a satellite system.  While they did the job the cost of the needed equipment was $2500-9000.  The WiFi in Motion setup will set you up for under $1000. Check here for prices.

You can install it yourself and typically takes about 1 to 1 ½ hours.

Official Microsoft Streets & Trips 2009 webpage launched

This seems late in coming especially since we’ve had S&T 09 available as a trial download even prior to our September release date.
